Moving soon? You’re in luck. We have selected our favorite tips and created detailed checklists to help you get ready to go and settle in once you get there.

Favorite tips:

  • Donate. If you don’t need it, why bring it with you? Donate your unwanted items to a local charity.
  • Label before you unplug. Have you ever unplugged your Blu-ray player and cable box from the TV and then forgotten where the cords go when it’s time to plug them back in? Take pictures before you unplug and use them as a reference. Another helpful tip is labeling the cords with masking tape.
  • Pack a first-night box. This is highly recommended for individuals and families alike. You can include essential clothing, toiletries, and other things you’ll want handy for the first night in your new home. Kids will also appreciate quick access to their bedtime pals like Woody and Buzz.
