On Tuesday, March 12, the UK Parliament turned down the second Brexit withdrawal agreement brought forward by Prime Minister Theresa May. This is the second time PM May's negotiations with the European Union have been rejected by British lawmakers. Previously the Parliament turned down PM May's first negotiated agreement in January.
Next, Wednesday, March 13, the Parliament will once again hold a vote. This time they will decide whether or not they agree with the premise of leaving the EU without a deal in place - as is currently the situation. As of now, Brexit is planned to occur on March 29, 2019.
If Parliament is not okay to leave the EU on March 29 without a deal in place, then they will hold a third vote on March 14 to decide whether or not the UK should request an extension of the Brexit deadline date.
Aires will continue to monitor the developing Brexit news.
