This is the second time the Pan American International Movers Association has honored AIReS’ environmental program.
This award was created in memory of PAIMA’s distinguished colleague Juan Peralta, and is presented annually during the organization’s general assembly convention. It represents PAIMA’s commitment to ecological awareness and environmental responsibility. The moving company who best exhibits these qualities through education, commitment and environmentally-sound business practices is awarded this prestigious honor.
PAIMA recognized AIReS for operational efficiencies, including the company’s proprietary ASSIST technology, whose automation saves over 1.2 million sheets of paper, or 2.5 tons, annually. This creates a total annual cost savings for AIReS of over $35,000 per year.
More importantly, this translates to an environmental savings of over 40 trees and 17,500 gallons of water.

The Ecology Award’s main purpose is to recognize that PAIMA member who exceeds his colleagues’ level of commitment in preserving and protecting the environment. It is also the goal of the Ecology Award to encourage other PAIMA members, veterans and new members alike, to reach for a higher standard of awareness in protecting the environment and foster a high standard of education in so doing. Furthermore, being a member of an Association essentially means being part of a learning and sharing community. The Ecology Award helps to engender a helpful, compassionate industry through which its components – you, the moving company – are able to share the measures and procedures with your colleagues and together make a lasting contribution to conservation.
AIReS previously received the PAIMA Ecology Award in 2007.
